Earthly delights amidst the splendor of the Australian Night Sky.

One of the most striking contrasts between the city and country is how bright and clear the night sky is in the country.

Although it’s only 35 minutes drive from Melbourne and 15 minutes from Melbourne airport, the view of the night sky and Australia’s world famous Southern Cross constellation is breathtaking from the grounds and gardens of Emu Bottom Homestead.

Between late Spring and early Autumn, international and corporate groups have the opportunity to experience a gourmet barbeque dinner in the gardens at Emu Bottom Homestead while gazing up into the stars and taking in the awe and splendor of the stars above.

To enhance the experience even further, our expert guide leads a stargazing tour with a hi-tech laser beam through constellations including the Southern Cross, the Saucepan (Orion), Taurus and the Seven Sisters, and onwards to stars like Alpha Centauri and the red supergiant Betelguese, before traveling the paths of the myths and legends of Aboriginal Dreamtime stories.
